The City Of Natchez Fire Department is responsible for the protection of life and property against fire and other emergencies.
The Natchez Fire Department consists of four fire stations strategically located throughout the City of Natchez to provide quick assistance to area residents and businesses.
Natchez firefighters are trained to handle emergency situations including, but not limited to the following:
structural fires vehicle fires wood/grass/trash/brush fires hazardous materials incidents rescue incidentsIn the event you need the service of the Natchez Fire Department, dial 911 for emergencies or 442-3684 for non-emergency assistance. When you call 911 a Dispatcher will answer the phone and ask you questions about the situation. For fires you will be asked to give:
1) your name 2) address of the emergency 3) telephone number you are calling from 4) brief description of the emergencyThe dispatchers ask these standard questions to help them make evaluations, and forward the information to those responding to your call. Remaining calm is the most important thing you can do to help them help you.
